Murphy Store
The old store at Murphy is now famous for the movie "Crossroads" filmed here in 1986. The legendary story of Robert Johnson, who sold his soul to the devil in exchange for being made an outstanding guitarist, contained some really awesome guitar performances. Ralph Machio (the "Karate Kid", wax-on, wax-off) starred as did Steve Vai (satan) . Machio learned to play for the movie and did his own guitar work except for the final scene.
